Portland Timbers and Thorns FC announced today that masks will be required in all areas of Providence Park. In addition, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for fans 12 and older or documentation of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of kickoff is required for entry.

The vaccination and mask requirement at the stadium goes into effect beginning on Aug. 25th when the Thorns welcome NJ/NY Gotham FC to Providence Park.

The Timbers and Thorns will also require guests aged five and older to wear a mask in compliance with Oregon’s statewide face mask mandate. The mandate goes into effect on Friday, Aug. 27.

Proof of vaccination for fans aged 12 and older is required upon entry to Providence Park. Acceptable forms of proof are a CDC vaccination card, a photocopy of the card or a photo of the card on a mobile device. Those with proof of vaccination must be two weeks past receiving their second dose for two dose vaccinations (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or a single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Providence Park has a number of additional safety protocols to keep fans safe. These include cashless transactions, mobile ordering for food and beverages, digital ticketing, a clear bag policy and enhanced sanitation protocols in the stadium.
