Portland Thorns FC is primed for their road match against the Washington Spirit. It’s been over a year since the last time these two teams played each other, and even longer since Portland has made the trip to Segra Field. The last time these two teams played was in July of 2020, a match that ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Thorns have been on an absolute tear recently. They went unbeaten in the month of July and even recently had three players named to the NWSL Team of the Month. A lot of this has even been without some of their best players, with five players out on international duty with their respective teams at the Olympics.
