Stumptown Footy Meetup: Not Tomorrow, But Soon

First let me say that we will have a Stumptown Footy meetup. We want to meet you wonderful people. It just will not be for the match against he Vancouver Whitecaps tomorrow as I had hoped.

I ambitiously tried to organize a meetup two weeks before hand and wanted it to be everything to everyone. That was dumb, especially so after getting derailed by sickness for the better part of a week.

So, what should we do?

When?

I know that not everyone can make it for a game day, but I think we can make something happen on Saturday the 26th for the Timbers' final match against Chivas USA that would be pretty great.

There are other possibilities, such as the upcoming USMNT or USWNT games in October and November.

Where?

I have looked at a fair number of establishments for a place to have a meetup and two stood out to me as being both good locations in which to have a whole bunch of people without competing unnecessarily for the space.

1. The Spirit of '77 - A great sports bar that is centrally located but not typically a soccer spot.

and

2. Clive's Public House at Rose City Futsal - Nice and shiny new (they get their liquor license on the 15th), the Public House is part of a facility of futsal courts. Unfortunately, they don't serve nachos and they are located further northeast than many other options.

Now What?

We get this thing put together.
