Portland Timbers 2 vs. Sacramento Republic FC: Live Stream, Preview, and Match Chat [7:00]

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Portland Timbers 2 continue their freshman season tonight with a match at their home pitch, Univeristy of Portland's Merlo Field, against reigning USL champions Sacramento Republic FC. After successfully kicking off their season with a 3-1 win against a depleted Real Monarchs side last Sunday, T2 will be tested today by the side that the Timbers organization were briefly affiliated with in 2014.

The two sides remain linked, however, by the players that will see the pitch tonight. On T2, Harrison Delbridge was a regular on the back line for Sacramento in 2014, while Steven Evans and Jake Gleeson, both of whom are on loan to T2 from the Timbers' first team, spent time on loan with Sacramento. Sacramento, meanwhile, have Rodrigo Lopez: a 2014 USL Pro MVP finalist and 2009-2011 Portland Timber.

Match Preview

"Sacramento Republic (1-0-1, 3pts), coached by Predrag "Preki" Radosavljevic, come off a last minute victory and face the last of 3 road games to start their 2015 season. Their first match of the campaign was a 4-2 loss to Seattle Sounders 2 at Starfire Sports Complex. Sacramento then followed that up with a trip down south to the Stubhub Center to face LA Galaxy II."
