Portland Timbers at Chivas USA Match Thread [7:30]

The Timbers wrap up the regular season tonight with their hopes for the top seed in the Western Conference still very much alive.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Timbers come into tonight's match on a seven game undefeated streak. Their opponents, Chivas USA, enter the match winless in five games and having lost their last four. Despite the readily apparent gap between the two teams, the Timbers need to come out of this one with all three points. The Supporters' Shield may no longer be on the table for the Timbers, but the top seed in the West is and a win is the only way to secure it.

Here's all the information you need for today's game:

Final Thoughts

Chivas are a dangerous team that are very reliant on bringing opponents down to their level to get points. If the Timbers can stick to their game plan and show off a little Porterball this evening then they will be able to bring their ample talent to bare and shut down Chivas USA.
