It came down to the final minutes of last game of the MLS season, but the Timbers finally have an idea of who they will be playing in the playoffs.

The Portland Timbers will take on the winner of Wednesday's play-in game between the Seattle Sounders and Colorado Rapids in the conference semi-finals. According to a tweet from the team, the Timbers will play at 7:00 pm this Saturday, November 2nd, on NBC Sports.

Saturday's game will be the away leg of the home and away playoff series. The Timbers will likely play at home the following Wednesday, November 6th.

Colorado were confirmed as potential Timbers opponents earlier today as they were handily dismantled by the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Rapids lost 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Camilo Sanvezzo, an effort that left the Whitecaps' forward with 22 goals on the season and gained him the MLS Golden Boot.

Seattle, however, lead their match from the 30', when Clint Dempsey finally got on the board thanks to a defensive miscue from Omar Gonzalez that he was able to tap home, until the 78' minute, when Robbie Keane hit a wickedly bouncing volley that bamboozled Michael Gspurning. The galaxy almost went on to win the match when a header from Omar Gonzalez appeared to cross the goal line, only to be mysteriously ruled out by the poorly positioned officials. Still, the point was enough to keep the Sounders in 4th place.

The Sounders and Rapids will play in Seattle this Wednesday, October 30th, at 7:30 pm on ROOT Sports.
