This is the Last Home Game of the Season.

Make it count.

Steve Dykes-USA TODAY Sports

Last night Sporting Kansas City beat the Houston Dynamo 2-1 to advance out of their Eastern Conference match-up and into the MLS Cup Final. In doing so, SKC secured the home field advantage for Saturday the 7th, regardless of today's result. With 58 points earned during the regular season, SKC are the highest ranked team remaining in the playoffs.

The win for Sporting guarantees that the Portland Timbers' match tonight will be the final game played at Jeld-Wen Field this year. If the Timbers make it through Real Salt Lake tonight a lucky few will find their way to Kansas City, but most of us will not get to see the Timbers in person again this season.

Which really means that there is no excuse to not pour every last bit of energy out onto the field today.

Think back to the beginning of the season.

Did you think that you would ever hear a crowd erupt like this?

Or go this quiet?

Did you ever imagine that we would be a scant 90' from the league final?

Don't hold anything back tonight. Make it count.
