With their playoff hopes still on the line, the Portland Timbers need to pick up their third win in a row in tonight's match against Real Salt Lake. A victory here would not only make history for the Timbers, giving them their first ever three win run in MLS play, but it would keep the pressure on the Vancouver Whitecaps in the fight for the West's final playoff berth.
Previews
Match Preview: "Chara is a master of keeping out of the book, getting carded only once for every ten fouls committed, while most high-fouling midfielders pick up a card for every eight fouls. Of course, Chara has picked up five yellows and a red in his nine previous matches against RSL."
Preview Interview: "Joao Plata scored a brace for Ecuador so he will be brimming with confidence in his return. Alvaro Saborio scored for Costa Rica, and he can use all the goals he can get to break off some of the rust after his prolonged injury. And Nick Rimando is Nick Rimando, the best keeper in MLS."
