Portland Timbers at Real Salt Lake Match Thread [6:30]

The Timbers are still in search of their first three points as they travel to Salt Lake.

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

Still winless six weeks in, the Portland Timbers face their toughest test of the young season tonight as they take on Real Salt Lake on the road. Since taking four points in two games in 2011, the Timbers have been repeatedly stymied by RSL over the last two seasons, so a strong showing today could be particularly impactful as they try to jump start their season.

Here is all the information that you need for today's match:

Previews

Match Preview: "The Timbers had the makings of a stellar performance only to have it come undone in the final minutes of the match. The ability to press the game for a full 90' and the never-say-die mentality that made the Timbers so formidable last season, and that carried them through some of the team's lesser performances, just has not been there this year. "

Preview Interview: "Most notably in my mind, Cassar has provided stability to a club that had a few question marks after Kreis parted ways. Continuity has been key. By not changing the style of play, Cassar has solidified the RSL system and shown that this philosophy of a team-first, "play the right way" mentality is here to stay."
