Two Timbers Strikes Up for Goal of the Week

The Timbers may not have beaten Vancouver, but their goals sure were pretty.

In any other game, the Portland Timbers' three goal haul would have earned the team at least a point. As it stands, the Timbers came away with nothing from yesterday's 4-3 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps. The goals were mighty pretty, but there were just not enough of them. There is a consolation prize, however, as Maximiliano Urruti's 3' curler and Will Johnson's 86' volley were both nominated to be the Week 13 Goal of the Week.
