The Timbers host their second CCL today as they take on Alpha United in a game they will want to win big.

Steve Dykes-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Timbers host Guyana's Alpha United today in CONCACAF Champions League play. Alpha has been the group whipping boy so far, posting 1-0, 4-1, and 6-0 losses in their three games played so far. With today's match being the visitors' last chance to put up a fight in continental competition, the Timbers should be wary but confident.

Lineup Speculation: "Without Alhassan, the Timbers are left with only three of the four spots in their attacking group filled by Michael Nanchoff, Gaston Fernandez, and Maximiliano Urruti. While the Timbers could plug in youngster Schillo Tshuma, he has not factored for them since much earlier in the year and seems an unlikely option here."
