Remember That Time the Portland Timbers Won the MLS Cup?

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Hey, do you guys remember the time that the Portland Timbers won the MLS Cup? That was pretty neat, right?

It's that slow time of year, so I can't help but reminisce. Let's take a walk down memory lane.

For those of you who might not recall, it was a pretty wild game. Diego Valeri scored less than a minute in then Rodney Wallace added another in the 7th.

Kai Kamara pulled one back for the Crew in the 18th after accidentally undercutting Adam Kwarasey, but from there on out it was all about the Timbers' defense, shutting down the home side.

The Timbers Army was on hand and rocking, of course, and the post-game celebrations were epic.

If all that isn't quite jogging your memory, maybe just check out the full highlights.

And if that still isn't enough, the Timbers will be releasing a documentary of the team's run to the Cup in January, entitled "The Magic Was Real". Check out the sneak peak here:

If you have any memories of the match, or its aftermath, share away in the comments.
