Portland Timbers vs. LA Galaxy Match Thread [4:00]

The Portland Timbers take on the LA Galaxy today at Providence Park as the good guys try for their first win of the season. The Galaxy remain fearsome opponents despite the loss of Landon Donovan to retirement over the offseason and the Timbers will need to improve on their showing from last Saturday's season opener if they want a point, let alone all three.

The diminutive defensive midfielder was kept out of the season opener due to a calf contusion picked up during the preseason Simple Invitational, but according to Caleb Porter he is healthy and ready to play tomorrow."
