Portland Timbers vs. Orlando City SC: Previews, How to Watch, and Match Chat

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Timbers host MLS newcomers Orlando City SC today as both teams look for their second win of the season. There can be only one, however, and the Timbers will need to neutralize Orlando's centerpiece Kaka if they want it to be them.

Previews

Match Preview: "Chara will likely by stuck to the back of Orlando's captain/playmaker/goal-scorer Kaka for the duration of the match, doing his considered best to make the brilliant Brazilian a non-factor. This puts a significant weight on the shoulders of Chara's partner in the midfield, leaving them to be the shield in front of the defense while Chara is less able to provide that cover all over the field."

Preview Interview: "Attacking midfielders Carlos Rivas and Kevin Molino flank Kaká on the left and right, respectively. They'll be active in trying to work with the Brazilian to maintain possession and bring others into the attack, taking shots when they can. On the right side, that means Molino will work with Rafael Ramos, a Portugal U-20 international who serves the same role on right as Shea on the left. Ramos has been one of Orlando's brightest spots this season."
