The Portland Timbers are back on the road this week and set to take on the Houston Dynamo in a battle at the bottom of the Western Conference. With both teams coming off 2-1 road wins and the upper reaches of the West still within sight, this match could be key to a surge up the standings for either side.
Previews
Match Preview: "Alvas Powell has continued to be the toast of the town for his defensive maturation, but the other five members of the back line were similarly dominant against the Impact. If the Timbers' defensive block can continue this level of performance then the team should find itself in good stead going forward."
Preview Interview: "For most of the games this season, the Dynamo have shown plenty of life and toughness despite not always getting the win which is reason to have faith in the team. The win against TFC shows that they can put in a balanced effort on both offense and defense and get the 3 points against quality competition in a difficult environment. It was a good effort that they definitely need to build on if they want to make a case for the playoffs."
