Portland Thorns midfielder Sinead Farrelly has been named NWSL Play of the Week for Week 12 by members of the media, the Thorns and National Women's Soccer League announced Tuesday.

Farrelly scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute of the Thorns 2-1 victory over Sky Blue FC on Friday, heading in Alyssa Kleiner's perfectly placed cross for her 2nd goal of the season, which gave the Thorns their third victory of the season, their first since April 18.

Farrelly becomes the second Thorns player named NWSL Player of the Week in the past three weeks.  Goalkeeper Michelle Betos was named the Player of the Week for Week 10, following her last-minute header to capture a 1-1 draw with FC Kansas City on June 19.
