Portland Thorns defender Kat Williamson will be out approximately six weeks, according to the Portland Tribune's Caitlin Murray:

Williamson tweeted Saturday that the surgery was successful:
Sending my love&support to the east coast this weekend!Surgery was a success &I'm on the road to recovery-thank you all for the well wishes!

Williamson was injured during the first half of last Saturday's 1-1 draw against FC Kansas City. She landed awkwardly after leaping to control the ball in an non-contact injury. Katherine Reynolds replaced her in the match, and will likely take Williamson's place in the lineup as she recovers.
In anticipation of Williamson's extended absence, the Thorns added defender Meg Morris earlier this week.
