If your hosts had any courage, they’d set up their mics in a nearest meat locker and try to perform under similar conditions. But since Jamie Goldberg was in Colorado to endure Saturday’s Ice Age reboot, her and Richard Farley stuck to the regular podcast scene: Sitting in her kitchen, playing with Pork Chop, talking Timbers and Thorns.

After a season-opening 3-3 draw with the Rapids, the hosts get existential, asking if any of it really matters given the conditions of human existence the field in Commerce City. Perhaps more importantly, Goldberg and Farley ask what, if anything, the performance tells us about the Timbers’ chances Sunday in Los Angeles.

And, finally, Thorns preseason is here, leaving questions about draft picks, 13-year-olds, and small knocks (mate) as the team’s seventh NWSL approaches.
