The Athletic (via your favorite acapella quartet @samstejskal, @paultenorio, @FelipeCar, @jeffrueter) 1st reported #RCTID in talks to sign Moreno last week
The potential move was rumored to be happening last week when Colombia-based journalist Diego Rueda first reported the news. The soccer staff at The Athletic followed that up with a report of their own saying that Portland was close to making a signing. You can read Stumptown Footy’s article on that here.
Moreno has been a hot name on the transfer market for the past few weeks, linked to several European clubs, Atlanta United, and as many as three other MLS sides. He is currently in the midst of his third season with America de Cali, a Colombian club. He’s notched six total goals during his time with the club as well as six assists.
We will update as more information comes out.
