The Portland Timbers are in familiar confines today as the side heads to Ohio to take on Columbus Crew SC. The Timbers are still perfect on the season, but this road trip will prove to be a significant test for the side as they look to deal with a number of absences.
Previews
Match Preview: “Front and center in the minds of Timbers fans coming into this match will be the side’s absences which continue to mount through injuries and international call-ups. Darlington Nagbe and David Guzman are the latest players to miss time for the side as the midfielders were respectively called up by the United States and Costa Rica.”
Preview Interview: “Back to the second question, while the team still wants to play the attacking, possession style, last week against D.C. United the team shifted to a three-man back line and were willing to play ugly and kick the ball long in a 2-0 win on the terrible RFK field. Whether we see that change again in this game remains a mystery.”
