T2 Will Host FC St Pauli in International Friendly

FC St Pauli

It was announced today that T2 will host German club, FC St Pauli, in an international friendly on Tuesday, May 22nd. T2 has a home match on Friday, May 18th vs LA II, followed by another home match vs Real Monarchs on Saturday, May 26th. So this friendly fits nicely between a pair of home games. All three games that week will be at Providence Park.

FC St Pauli plays in the 2.Bundesliga and is well known for its distinctive culture and large popular following for a 2nd division side. And in addition to the friendly, the front office will be working with the 107IST to support the IRCO with a share of the proceeds from this match.

The last time an international friendly occurred, T2 defeated Newcastle United 4-3 back on July 21, 2015.

Personally, I’m very excited for this match as FC St Pauli is one of my favorite clubs that has a very similar culture and priorities as our own 107IST, Timbers Army, and Rose City Riveters. This should be a very special international friendly.
