Hello there!

Stumptown Footy has moved! We are now on Substack. You can find the site and subscribe to it right here so that you’re all set to see it once it goes live (happening imminently!).

We are still providing all of the same Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns coverage you’re used to, just in a different place, and now with the added bonus if it being delivered directly to your email inbox. The same team (and possibly more...?) that has kept you up to date on all things PTFC has taken their talents to the new home, and we all couldn’t be more excited about it.

The team is still ironing out a few (read: a lot) of the kinks, and you’ll notice that there isn’t a ton of posts on the site yet. But I promise you that we are working behind the scenes on the grand reveal of some great stuff, and over the coming days we’ll be able to bring you a site that carries on the legacy of STF in a cool new way.

What has made, and will continue to make, Stumptown Footy special was all of y’all: the fan community that was built here. It won’t quite be exactly the same, but our hope is that the new version of the site will be the same vibrant and passionate space for all of us to come together and talk about the teams we love. We want to continue to have a space for us to complain about the Timbers’ defenders, revel in the greatness of Sophia Smith, marvel at the ageless Diego Chara, and debate whether the Thorns should have won a game by three goals or four goals.

So we really hope that you’ll join us on the new site. It’s probably going to be a learning process for all of us, but in a way that’s the beauty of it all. We get to navigate this next phase just as we have gotten through everything else with the Thorns and Timbers: together.

Forever and always: Onward Rose City.
