To say the Portland Timbers have struggled so far this season would be an understatement. Coming off a 3-0 beating from San Jose last weekend, the last-place Timbers are going to need to approach a much more difficult test against FC Dallas with ferocity and determination to have a chance at escaping Frisco with a point.
Dallas, by comparison, are sitting in 5th in the west on 10 points with a 3-2-1 record. They’re also so far undefeated at home while the Timbers remain winless.
