Welcome back to Around the Forest! Yes, we did just do one on Thursday, but after taking Christmas off and with the relative lull in activity for the Portland Timbers and Thorns in terms of trades and whatnot, I figured it might be best this weekend to share a couple more stories and some recent news. Plus, we can share some of the holiday greetings from yesterday.
Timbers and Thorns
As mentioned earlier, there hasn’t been a ton happening for the Timbers and Thorns this week, but here’s one little story to read super quickly. Apparently, the Timbers broke ground this season by being the first MLS team to use Motion Impossible’s AGITO Sports modular dolly system. If you want to read a little about it, click here.
The Oregonian also compiled their list of some of the top Oregon sports moments from 2020, and you bet the Timbers made the cut with their MLS is Back victory. The full list can be seen here.
Otherwise, there just isn’t that much going on. Instead, here are some seasons greetings from both the Timbers and Thorns.
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate.
