T2 opened their season on Sunday with 3-1 victory over Real Monarchs.  With so many new faces, we will be profiling the 20 players signed or loaned to the USL side.

We continue with midfielder Seth Casiple.

Weight: 155
Born: Aug. 23, 1993

Casiple, 22, joins T2 after being drafted by the Timbers in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.

A four year starter at Cal-Berkley, Casiple made 75 appearances (74 starts) for the Golden Bears, scoring 6 goals and adding 27 assists, fourth best all time in the record books, and was the captain his junior and senior years..  He was named to the 2014 All Pacific-12 first team and NSCAA All-Far West first team, was a 3 time Pac-12 All-Academic selection, was named to the 2013 CoSIDA All-Academic first team and 2012 All Pac-12 second team, and was the 2011 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.

Additionally, he trained with the United States U18 and U20 national teams, and was called into the U18 training camp in 2010.

Listed as a midfielder, Casiple appeared all over the pitch for Cal, but showed best as a defensive midfielder and appeared in this role during T2's preseason match against the Pilots on March 22.

Casiple is an example of a player looking to make a name for himself in professional soccer and to work his way into the first team picture in a position where the Timbers need depth.
