In case you missed it; it’s Stand Together Week.

The 2017 edition started yesterday, Sunday, June 4th and continues through Saturday, June 10th. And for those who don’t know: Stand Together Week is a special week of volunteering each year where players and staff from all three professional teams work with volunteers from all over the metro area to make a difference in a bunch of different projects and programs.

The Portland Timbers are well known for giving back to the community all year around, but Stand Together Week is where a lot of it comes together for many people and organizations.

Just two days in there have already been events such as cleaning books at the Children’s Book Bank and assisting SOLVE to remove non-native invasive plant species from Mary S Young Park.

And there are over 30 projects going on this week that anyone can volunteer to help with. Listed below are just a few:

DHS Foster Care Room

Thursday (6/8)::

AC Portland

These are just 6 of the many projects and events out there this week to volunteer for. I myself will be volunteering at a few of them so hopefully I’ll see some of you around!
