NWSL announces dates for 2022 NWSL Expansion Draft and 2022 NWSL Draft

The National Women’s Soccer League announced today the dates of the 2022 NWSL Expansion Draft and the 2022 NWSL Draft both of which are presented by Ally. The league also announced that player registration has opened for the NWSL Draft.

The Expansion Draft will be hosted in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, December 16 at 4 p.m. PST. Two days later LA will also host the NWSL Draft slated for Saturday, December 18 at 11 p.m. PST.

CBS Sports will provide coverage of both drafts across various platforms. These platforms include CBS Sports Network, Paramount+ and CBS Sports HQ. The specific schedule and coverage details will be announced at a later date. The draft order will be finalized after the 2021 NWSL Championship.

Interested players can access the online registration here. Players who register for the draft but aren’t selected will become discovery eligible the day after the NWSL Draft.
