The Thorns scored two really early and then basically bossed Boston for 85 minutes. Amandine Henry got her first goal in NWSL. Everyone got points this week! David K Anderson took the most by calling the win, the clean sheet and getting the two point bonus for his story about Rose Lavelle’s enlightenment. Rose did seem subdued all match. Ted Servata also called the clean sheet and got his first points of the season to hop into the middle-of-the-pack slot. Lost Fervor made the brave call of an Henry goal – good guess! PS: I gave an assist for Henry on the own-goal, to RipCityFan77’s benefit.

Some ground rules and explanations/clarifications (the fine print):
Comments must be posted before kickoff, but you can edit or amend an earlier prediction right up to the starting whistle.
Keep your scoreline predictions realistic. No crazy scores just to pad out your odds of getting goals and assists.
The goal/assist bonus is an additional point if you predict the correct scorer and assistant on the same goal, for example, you say Nadim scores from an Henry assist and that is exactly what happens.
Be clear whether you think a goal will be unassisted, assisted, or from a PK/FK. Unassisted = no assist, run of play; Assisted = player who got the assist; PK/FK = not in run of play. For the purposes of this thread, Penalty Kick and Free Kick are the same thing. No entry means unassisted.
Format:
In the comment title post your predicted result, for example 3-1 Thorns.
In the body of your comment, start with the goals and assists, like so:
Raso (Henry)
Sinclair (Free kick)
Horan (Unassisted)
Kerr (PK)
Next, name the first yellow card recipient: First yellow to Skroski
Then reds, if any. (NOTE: no points awarded for correctly calling a red-card-free match, so take a guess.) Caroline Casey gets a red for tripping Sinclair on the edge of the box.
And lastly, make your fun prediction:
Horan misses the empty net from one yard out and gets a ribbing from her teammates. On the next possession, she scores from an impossibly tight angle on the goal line.
Have fun, tell your friends, let me know if you have any questions or if I screw up your score. Also, please REC this fanpost to help it stay at the top – the green REC button is just above the comments area.
