The usual suspects are packing their bags for a European trip as the US Women’s National Team starts to ramp up for the coming World Cup. Tobin Heath, Lindsay Horan, Emily Sonnett and Adrianna Franch will all be making the trip to face off against France on January 19th (11:30 am PST on FS1), and Spain on January 22nd (11:30 am PST on ESPN2).

Horan and Heath are hugely important players for the USWNT and their place at the World Cup is assured. Meanwhile, Emily Sonnett has begun carving out a role for herself as substitute and a rightback in the extremely thin american fullback pool. It’s looking increasingly likely that AD Franch has solidified her hold on the 3rd choice USWNT goalkeeper spot, and with allocations to be announced in mid-February, a well-deserved USWNT check could be in the mail for her soon—all without having a single cap for her country.
