It is honors well deserved for Y. Chara and Bravo. Yimmi notched a goal and an assist on Saturday night in the 6-1 demolishing of Real Salt Lake, and was active and dangerous throughout the match. Bravo chipped in an assist during the match as well and has also been a consistent performer on Portland’s backline during their current unbeaten run.
Diego Chara tallied a goal against Real Salt Lake and was solid on both sides of the ball in the midfield which was good enough to earn him a spot on the bench for the MLS Team of the Week for Week 27.
This marks the sixth straight MLS Team of the Week that the Timbers have had at least one player represented and the first time they have two players listed among the starters. Portland have had a player listed in the Team of the Week starting XI for five of the past six weeks, with the lone exception being Week 25 when Sebastian Blanco was named to the bench.
