According to a Norwegian publication the Portland Timbers have signed 26 year old Ghanaian goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey. Kwarasey is reportedly out of contract and instead of signing a new contract with his former club Strømsgodset he apparently has chosen to sign with the Portland Timbers.
Kwarasey was Ghana's first choice keeper in the African Cup of Nations in 2012 and started the first game against the United States during the 2014 World Cup this past summer but announced his retirement from the international game this past August. Domestically he made 167 appearances in all competitions, conceded 232 goals, posted 40 shutouts and won the Norwegian league's 2013 GK of the year.
