Welcome to the new abbreviated match thread! As we've gone through the months we've picked up on our preview duties prior to the game and, as such, we're going to test out a new abbreviated match thread which doesn't aim to preview the game itself, but rather display as much information as possible so that you guys can find everything you need to know about the match.

Gershon Koffie Suspended for Saturday Against Portland - Eighty Six Forever
For the second straight week Major League Soccer has suspended a Whitecap on review, ruling Gershon Koffie out of Saturday's match for a yellow-card offense against Seattle.

Final Thoughts

The Portland Timbers are level with the Seattle Sounders in the hunt for this year's Cascadia Cup trophy, but with one less game played. While there are still plenty more Cascadian games left this year, a win tonight over Vancouver would give the Timbers a heft advantage heading into the last couple months of the regular season.
